A contraction of 'Japanese Sandals' this is a term for a kind of plastic sandal or sand shoe, held on by a 'toe grip. Also known in USA and Australia as 'flip flops', and in the UK as 'thongs. (ed: which explains why Brits in Aus get directed to underwear shops when they ask for them!) (ed: oops... I got the UK and Aus meanings reversed. Simon pulled me up on it "Please update your description of Jandals. In Australia we refer to these as "Thongs", NEVER as "flip-flops" as is used in the US. PS: I am an Aussie so this is not just an opinion, it's fact.". Ok... so do I change it or leave it so the comment stays? :)

Used to describe a male usually, a dirty old man who has a particular 'look' in his eyes while looking at young girls. Used (with horror in the voice) as "What a Hungro", "I wish that Hungro would stop looking at me that way". Contributor said her and a friend made the word up while in Middle school but it quickly spread though the Southern california area for some reason. Considering they were in middle school the term 'dirty old man' seemed to be anyone over the aprox. age of 28. (ed: oops... )

Used to describe a big dumb red neck. Also used to mean big stupid kid, or big retarded kid. Used as a put down. The word has been in use for over 45 years. The Contributor still hears kids using it as a put down, and some parents using it as a baby nick name. Was also used in the movie Forest Gump. Also 'Bubba' was a big retarded black guy, in the TV show Nash Bridges the main character calls all criminals Bubba. Just background, please don't use this information, it would muddle the meaning. (ed: oops!) Actually, in Oz at least, 'Bubba' has become the generic name of anyone of a mentally incongruous state incarcerated for an extended period and therefore denied access to female companionship for a considerably time, leaving him in a constant state of sexual drustration. The result of all this is that any prisoner unfortunate to be confined with Bubba in his cell will be immediately, violently, repeatedly and comprehensively buggered!. The possibility that one might have to serve out a sentence sharing a cell with 'Bubba' ought to deter all but the most desperate of criminals from carrying out their nefarious deeds. Yet it doesn't.
